Overview: Reporting to the Billing Manager, the role of the Billing Specialist will be to manage the processing of client invoices and ensure timely cash collections to open bills. The main responsibilities for this role include managing monthly invoices and retainer billing and assisting partners and managers with statements of accounts and collections on overdue invoices. Must be highly organized and able to pay attention to details on Contracts / LOAs to ensure invoices are accurate each month. What You'll Be Doing: • Process invoices and monthly retainers including applicable credit memos. • Issue monthly customer statements to aid collection. • Ensure that all billable expenses are properly invoiced and reconcile any discrepancies. • Set up accrued revenue journal entries for invoices unable to post at month-end closes. • Support Client Accounting Manager daily to ensure that all processes related to billing are done effectively and in a timely • Review and post all accounts receivable entries for both invoicing and credits memos. • Update the customer master file with proper contact • Apply customer payments to close out open invoices. • Support Senior Accountant when needed to ensure that all daily collections are. processed and posted properly for commissions due. • Prepare any reporting requirements and ad-hoc projects as needed.
