About the role

Toast creates technology to help restaurants and local businesses succeed in a digital world, helping business owners operate, increase sales, engage customers, and keep employees happy. The Embedded Finance team is responsible for a diverse range of products, all with the united goal of building a financial operating system integrated into Toast merchants’ daily operations, that delivers unparalleled cash control, capital access, and financial intelligence, powered by an always-on AI finance team. We’re looking for a Senior Product Manager to bring that mission to life for operators. You’ll own the Financial Products page and the Finance tab in the Toast Now app , the shared spaces where our Embedded Finance products come together to form one financial operating system. You’ll work across Embedded Finance product teams to set best practices for how products show up in these spaces, and to make sure they deliver the key jobs-to-be-done across cash control, capital access, and financial intelligence. This is an end-to-end owner role: strategy, roadmap, experimentation, execution, and accountability for measurable business outcomes. Expect to run a lot of experiments. A day in the life (Responsibilities) • Own the strategy, roadmap, and performance of the Financial Products page and the Finance tab in Toast Now, including how operators discover, evaluate, and engage with financial products. • Define the key jobs-to-be-done these shared spaces must serve (e.g., understanding cash position, accessing funds, discovering the right product, acting on insights) and turn them into prioritized roadmaps that move KPIs. • Translate our vision and mission into the customer experience, so that cash control, capital access, and financial intelligence feel like one connected system rather than separate products. • Partner with product teams across Embedded Finance to establish and enforce best practices, such as design patterns, content standards, entry points, and measurement, so products show up consistently and the experience feels cohesive. • Run a high-velocity experimentation program: form hypotheses, design and launch tests (placement, messaging, personalization, sequencing, cross-sell), analyze results, and scale what works. • Balance the needs of individual product teams against the operator experience and overall business outcomes, making clear tradeoffs and resolving competing priorities. • Work closely with Engineering, Design, and Research to write user stories, define requirements, workflows, and wireframes. Manage the backlog and facilitate agile ceremonies. • Partner with GTM and Product Marketing to drive awareness, adoption, and attach across financial products, and coordinate launches with the teams who own the underlying products. • Define success metrics, build dashboards, and own outcomes such as engagement with the Finance tab and page, discovery-to-activation conversion, cross-product attach, retention, time saved for operators, and customer satisfaction. • Run VoC and customer interviews, and turn insights into roadmap decisions. • Create and present business cases for new investments and quantify the impact of launches. • Embrace and advocate for the use of AI tools to accelerate product discovery, streamline execution, and explore new product experiences - helping shape how we build and what we build. What you'll need to thrive (Requirements) • A passion for innovating in financial services and a desire to transform the restaurant and hospitality industry. • Experience owning a product or surface from early inception to measurable post-launch success, ideally a platform, hub, or shared experience spanning multiple products. • Hands-on experience running experimentation programs (A/B testing, hypothesi
