About the role

3M has a long-standing reputation as a company committed to innovation. We provide the freedom to explore and encourage curiosity and creativity. We gain new insight from diverse thinking, and take risks on new ideas. Here, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Job Description: Senior Marketing Science Specialist, Sumaré/SP Collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world As a Senior Marketing Science Specialist within the B2B Customer Insights Center of Excellence, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. You will independently own the analytical solution to customer insights challenges - choosing appropriate methods, building reproducible models, and translating outputs into actionable guidance that informs pricing, segmentation, and growth decisions. The impact you will make in this role • Creating analysis-ready datasets independently with rigorous quality controls - cleaning, weighting, merging survey and operational data, documenting QC decisions and exclusions, and ensuring every step is fully reproducible. • Independently analyzing standard studies - building and checking routine weights, running crosstabs and significance tests, choosing appropriate standard methods, and naming what the analysis can and cannot say before reporting results. • Running segmentation, pricing, and driver analyses - executing standard cluster or factor solutions and comparing fit and stability; running Van Westendorp, conjoint, and MaxDiff models and stating assumptions; building standard driver or regression views; and profiling finished solutions for business partners. • Building and validating CX driver and sentiment analyses - comparing stated vs. derived importance, running regression and text analytics on customer feedback, and identifying what moves satisfaction, loyalty, and complaint resolution. • Turning repeated analytical steps into reusable templates and writing plain-English implications - explaining utilities, drivers, or segments without jargon so non-technical partners understand what the data can and cannot support. • Partnering with B2B Customer Insights colleagues - translating research briefs into analysis plans, raising sample-size, weighting, and over-claim concerns proactively, helping peers with syntax and chart hygiene, and ensuring analytical outputs are decision-ready for business stakeholders. Your Skills and Expertise  To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:  • Bachelor’s degree completed in statistics, marketing science, economics, data science, or a related quantitative field. • Experience in quantitative research, marketing analytics, or statistical modeling in a private, public, government, or military environment • Independent coding proficiency in at least one statistical tool: SPSS, R, Python, or SAS - able to code routine analyses from scratch, version work, and document so someone else can rerun it. • Solid grounding in descriptive and inferential statistics (significance tests, cross-tabulation, correlation, regression) with demonstrated ability to choose an appropriate standard method and articulate its limitations (e.g., what you can and cannot infer from data). • Hands-on experience across several advanced analytical methods (e.g., cluster analysis, MaxDiff, conjoint, driver/regression) applied in commercial or organizational research settings, with demonstrated ability to choose the appropriate method for the business question. • Advanced English. Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: • Master’s degree in statistics, data science, economics, ps
