About the team/role Reporting to the Senior Manager, Solutions Architecture, the Staff Solutions Architect serves as a senior consultative technical leader across the entire customer lifecycle—from pre-sales solution design to implementation, go-live, and ongoing platform optimization. In this role, you will lead the architecture of complex, strategic customer deployments, establish integration best practices across RESTful APIs and webhooks, and mentor other Solutions Architects across the organization. Partnering closely with Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering, you will translate sophisticated business requirements into scalable technical solutions that accelerate customer time-to-value and fuel Checkr's continued growth. What you'll do • Lead deep technical discovery and architectural discussions alongside Sales during pre-sales, shaping solution design and scoping for prospective and strategic existing customers. • Design and present scalable end-to-end solution architectures—including RESTful API and webhook integration patterns—tailored to complex customer workflows and business requirements. • Lead the implementation and technical delivery of strategic enterprise deployments, providing rigorous technical oversight from initial design through go-live. • Facilitate technical optimization engagements for existing customers, identifying architectural enhancements to improve platform adoption, reduce friction, and expand use cases. • Serve as a senior technical escalation point across the SA organization, triaging and driving the resolution of complex, service-impacting integration challenges. • Mentor and coach Solutions Architects, defining technical standards, best practices, and internal and external collateral that elevate team capabilities. What you bring • 8+ years of experience in technical consulting, professional services, solutions engineering, or a related customer-facing technical architecture role supporting complex enterprise accounts. • Deep technical expertise in RESTful APIs, webhooks, and modern system integration architectures across the full customer lifecycle. • Hands-on experience integrating HCM, ATS, or enterprise workforce management platforms with third-party software and APIs. • Proven ability to lead technical strategy and communicate effectively with both executive leadership and engineering teams across pre-sales and post-sales contexts. • Demonstrated track record of mentoring technical peers, driving cross-functional alignment with Product and Engineering, and utilizing data querying and analysis to troubleshoot complex issues. • An A-player mindset with a strong bias for action: you raise the bar, move with urgency, stay resilient through ambiguity, and take ownership to deliver meaningful outcomes. #LI-TD1 Pay Transparency Disclosure We use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop ranges for our roles and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
