This role is an opportunity to use a wide variety of design and technical web skills to help us develop and support features for the AlertMedia product suite. As an AI-forward company, we actively use modern AI tools such as Claude, Codex, and other emerging technologies to help our engineers work smarter, move faster, and build better products. You have experience developing scalable production applications using modern backend technologies, ideally Python or Elixir. You have AWS (or other cloud) experience and are willing to learn from people with both more and less experience than you. You are a user of AI-assisted development tools that improve engineering workflows, code quality, and team productivity. What you get to do every day: • Design and develop features for the AlertMedia product suite • Learn the AlertMedia platform and tools, and its uses for our customers • Work with Python, Elixir, JavaScript, Next.js, React and other web technologies • Use AI-enabled tools such as Claude, Codex , and other emerging platforms to support development, problem-solving, documentation, and productivity • Work in an Agile based environment using tools like Git, JIRA, Jenkins, and Slack • Contribute to technical innovation by identifying opportunities to improve our products, architecture, and engineering practices • Use strong verbal and written communication skills in collaboration with other engineering and product teams • Contribute to AlertMedia’s culture, values and vision for the future What you bring to the role: • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred • 6+ years of hands-on software engineering experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable production applications, preferably using Python, Django, Elixir, or JavaScript • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and writing unit and integration tests • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes • Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications in AWS or similar cloud environments • Experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, or similar database and caching technologies • Experience making architectural decisions, evaluating technical tradeoffs, and owning engineering initiatives from design through implementation • Active user of AI tools and modern developer platforms to enhance engineering quality, velocity, and collaboration • Collaborative mindset to partner with principal engineers and leadership to drive architectural evolution for a critical application • Stro
