Sales Engineer

As a Solutions Engineer (L3), you will play a critical role in helping prospective customers understand the tangible value of Asana . Through discovery and close alignment with customer outcomes, you will guide stakeholders through ROI-based conversations, using your demonstration skills to connect uncovered pain points directly to Asana's value . You will serve as a key technical partner to Sales, facilitating seamless cross-functional communication and applyi ng your SaaS evaluation knowledge to help move opportunities smoothly toward close . This role is based in our Chicago office with an office-centric hybrid schedule . The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday . Most Asana s have the option to work from home on Wednesdays . Working from home on Fridays depends on t he type of work you do and the teams with which you partner . What you’ll achieve • Collaborative Solutioning: Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Customer Success, Professional Services, and channel partners to gather critical data and build tailored in-product solutions that address customer pain points . • Trusted Advisory: Position yourself as a trusted advisor to prospective customers, leading discovery conversations that tie Asana's capabilities directly to their core business outcomes and ROI . • Demonstrations & Presentations: Design and deliver engaging, customer-specific product demonstrations that clearly communicate the value of Asana across diverse audiences . • Scalable Workflow Development: Develop repeatable, high-impact workflow solutions within Asana that can be leveraged across the broader customer base . • Impact Tracking & Metrics: Support the broader Solutions Engineering team by capturing key engagement metrics and data insights that inform leadership on global business impact . About you • Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making. • 2+ years of professional customer-facing experience in SaaS (experience in an SDR, Customer Success, Implementation, or Consulting role is welcome) . • Strong consultative and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust, listen actively, and uncover root business challenges . • Analytical and quantitative problem-solver capable of translating customer requirements into structured, demonstrable software solutions . • Clea r, compelling communicator and storyteller who is comfortable conveying data and technology workflows to audiences of varied backgrounds . • Collaborative part ner with a track record of coordinating smoothly with internal teams such as Sales, Customer Succe ss, and Marketing .
