About the role

At Liberis, our mission is to empower small and medium-sized businesses by removing finance as a friction to growth, delivering contextual, embedded financial solutions to support merchants at every stage of their business lifecycle. The Role As an Associate Partner Manager, you’ll help manage and grow our embedded finance partnerships, combining relationship building, commercial awareness and hands-on coordination to deliver a great experience for our partners and their merchants. You’ll take day-to-day responsibility for a portfolio of partners, managing strategy, complex issues and expansion opportunities. Working closely with partners and internal teams, you’ll help strengthen merchant engagement, improve performance and keep initiatives moving. This is an opportunity to further build your experience in fintech partnerships while making a direct contribution to commercial growth across the merchant lifecycle. What you’ll be doing • Build partner relationships: Act as a day-to-day contact for your partners, building strong working relationships and keeping communication clear and consistent. Prepare for business reviews, contribute to performance discussions and follow through on agreed actions. • Support commercial growth: Work with partners and internal teams to improve marketing activity, lead generation and the merchant experience. Help deliver revenue targets by increasing merchant adoption, product take-up, renewals and retention. • Spot opportunities to grow: Use partner conversations and performance data to identify opportunities for new products or merchant segments. Gather requirements and work with senior colleagues to assess and develop these opportunities. • Keep initiatives moving: Coordinate with Product, Partner Solutions and other teams on launches and improvements. Track actions, owners and timelines, flagging risks and dependencies early. • Maintain operational quality: Monitor partner performance and the merchant journey, helping identify issues with data, integrations or application flows. Work with Operations, Underwriting and Risk to resolve problems and escalate where needed. • Help partners succeed: Support joint campaigns, merchant education and partner training alongside Marketing and other teams. Help partner sales and customer success teams understand our products and use reporting tools effectively. • Turn data into action: Maintain accurate partner reporting and track conversion, product adoption and renewals. Identify trends, share practical recommendations and follow up on actions to improve performance. What we think you’ll need • Around 2–4 years of relevant experience in partnerships, account management, customer success or a similar commercially focused role. • Experience fintech and embedded finance, exposure to payments or lending would be helpful. • Experience building B2B relationships and taking responsibility for day-to-day account activity. • Commercial awareness and an interest in understanding what drives partner performance and growth. • Confidence working with data and spreadsheets to track results, identify trends and recommend next steps. • Strong organisation and follow-through, with the ability to coordinate several priorities across different teams. • Clear communication and relationship-building skills, including confidence asking questions and raising issues. • A proactive, hands-on approach and the ability to work at pace as priorities change. • A willingness to learn about lending workflows, partner integrations and the merchant lifecycle.
