Title and Summary Director of Product Management, Freight & Logistics Payments Strategy, Global B2B Transportation Overview Director, Freight & Logistics Payments Strategy, Global B2B Transportation will drive growth across the freight, logistics, and supply chain payments ecosystem, spanning air, sea, road, and rail. This role focuses on identifying where Mastercard's commercial products, partnerships, data capabilities, acceptance, and embedded payment solutions can create value in a complex transportation market. Payment flows across transportation remain fragmented, moving through invoices, virtual cards, freight payment and audit workflows, ACH, checks, and specialized transportation payment providers. Success requires understanding how the key players, from shippers and carriers to freight brokers, forwarders, 3PLs, TMS platforms, and technology providers, operate and exchange value. The successful candidate will turn that knowledge into practical go-to-market strategies, partnerships, and product requirements, serving as the link between Business Development, regional and global product teams, and external partners to help Mastercard qualify opportunities and drive meaningful growth. We are looking for someone who comes from the freight and logistics industry, provides services or solutions to this vertical, or has worked at a payments company serving freight, logistics, fleet, transportation, or supply chain clients. The ideal candidate brings a generalist mentality and strong business and technical problem-solving skills, moving easily between market strategy, client engagement, financial business cases, product requirements, and cross-functional execution. Role - Director, Freight & Logistics Payments Strategy, Global B2B Transportation In this role, the selected candidate will: Industry Strategy & Market Development • Lead Mastercard’s freight and logistics go-to-market strategy across air, sea, road, and rail. • Identify key industry trends, customer pain points, technology shifts, and competitive dynamics that shape freight and logistics payment flows. • Serve as the internal freight and logistics expert, developing clear narratives, use cases, and opportunity priorities by segment, market, and product fit. Business Development Enablement • Partner with global and regional Business Development teams to identify, qualify, and advance freight and logistics opportunities. • Support client conversations with practical industry expertise, payment flow knowledge, and consultative guidance. • Build enablement content that helps teams connect Mastercard products to specific freight and logistics needs. Ecosystem & Partnership Development • Identify strategic partnerships that expand Mastercard’s access, distribution, relevance, and acceptance across freight and logistics. • Engage key ecosystem players including brokers, 3PLs, forwarders, carriers, shippers, TMS providers, fleet platforms, marketplaces, fintechs, and payment providers. • Develop partnership business cases, commercial models, and execution plans that accelerate adoption of Mastercard-powered payment solutions. Product Strategy & Innovation • Translate freight and logistics market needs into product requirements, capability gaps, and roadmap recommendations.
