No salary bar for this route
H-1B has no fixed salary bar: the employer must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role and area. Cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level. US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role

What we do and why we do it As the leading end-to-end investment platform for single-family rental homes (SFR), our mission is to reinvent the rental housing ecosystem for the benefit of all. We successfully merge our passion for helping investors build wealth through real estate with cutting edge technology that transforms the way they do it. How it’s going (and growing) With a talented team of 750+ Roofsters, our collaborative, can-do culture is what fuels our growth. In 2022, we closed on our Series E, raising $240 million, and have offices in the Bay Area and New York City. Our growth includes recent acquisitions of Stessa (financial and asset management software), RentPrep (tenant screening and placement service for landlords), and Mynd (property management platform for both Retail and Institutional investors). In 2025, Roofstock took an ownership stake in Casago (short-term rental management services), expanding our platform to support both long-term and short-term rental investment services. About the Role: The Pricing & Procurement Manager owns what Roofstock pays for construction, maintenance, and turnover work. Today, customers are more sensitive to costs, and we're looking for a dedicated owner to benchmark, set, maintain, and defend our prices. You will own the price book end to end: line-item pricing by market, flat-rate pricing for in-house technician work, and labor rates for non-flat-rate pricing. You will benchmark our prices against the market, bring them to fair market value, and negotiate national supplier agreements that lower material and equipment costs across every job. You'll do it with data, and you'll build the tools and AI workflows that keep pricing current without manual upkeep. This is a high-visibility role with executive sponsorship. You'll work closely with Vendor Programs, Construction, R&M, Finance, and Product, and your work will directly impact customer retention and owner NOI. Responsibilities: • Own the Price Book: Be the single owner of construction, maintenance, and turnover line-item pricing across every market. Set standards for how prices are built, changed, approved, and published, and keep them current on a defined review cycle. • Benchmark Against the Market: Build a repeatable benchmarking program that compares our line items to what other operators of similar density and volume pay, plus local market rates. Use it to move prices to fair market value, weighted to our volume, without creating vendor capacity problems. • Put a Price on More of the Work: Expand line-item and flat-rate pricing so more work orders are priced up front instead of billed hourly or bid one-off. Lead the national flat-rate rollout cycle. • Negotiate National Supplier Agreements: Source and negotiate with national suppliers of materials, appliances, flooring, paint, HVAC equipment, and similar categories. Set the terms our contractors follow in the vendor playbook, and drive rebates and discounts that benefit owners, vendors, and Roofstock alike. • Hold the Line on Price Adherence: Monitor invoices, change orders, and estimates against the price book. Spot off-book payments, find the root cause, and fix the price, scope, or process so it's solved once. • Automate Pricing Upkeep: Partner with Product and BI to build the data, dashboards, and AI workflows that keep prices current, flag outliers, and automatically price new scopes, so the price book scales without adding headcount. Qualifications: • 5+ years in pricing, procurement, strategic sourcing, or cost estimating, ideally in residential construction, property management, home services, or facilities • You've built or owned a price book, unit-cost database, or rate card, and kept it current • You know what a paint job, a flooring install,
