To deliver on this mission, our global team is composed of team members with life experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives that mirror our developers and customers around the world. At AppLovin, we are intentional about the team and culture we are building, seeking candidates who are outstanding in their own right and also demonstrate their support of others.
About the Role
We’re building a next-generation global content platform that helps people turn real-life experiences into valuable stories for others. We’re a small, high-caliber founding team, backed by AppLovin’s technology, data capabilities, and global reach.
We’re looking for a Product Manager in Palo Alto to be the voice of the user. You’ll own how we learn about our users and the US market, then turn what you learn into product decisions. Most of your time will go to talking with users, studying the market, and digging through feedback, and you’ll translate all of it into clear insights that shape our roadmap.
A Day in the Life
• Independently plan and run user research: recruit participants, conduct interviews, and synthesize findings
• Run market and competitive research on our features and product, including spending real time in other apps to understand what works and why
• Turn feedback from support tickets, Apple App Store and Google Play reviews, and community channels into structured product insights
• Dig into why users return, stay active, or drop off, and recommend specific actions to improve retention and engagement
• Identify what motivates the users to share, engage, and come back, and propose distinctive, culturally resonant features
• Partner closely with Engineering and Operations to turn insights into roadmap priorities
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to the team and leadership
The Impact You’ll Make
• Be the user voice: Bring a real understanding of culture and behavior into every product decision.
• Turn feedback into direction: Build a repeatable system that converts raw feedback into prioritized insights.
• Shape what we build: Your research will directly influence which features we build, change, or cut.
• Drive retention and engagement: Combine qualitative insight with usage data to improve returning and active users.
Who You Are
• 3-6 years of experience in product management, product marketing, strategy and operations, consulting, user research, or a similar analytical role.
• A startup background and mindset: you’ve worked in early-stage or fast-growing teams, taken on a much bigger scope than your title suggested, and moved things forward without waiting to be told what to do
• Strong initiative and ownership: you spot problems and opportunities on your own and drive them to a result
• Strong sense for the culture, trends, and how people use social and content apps
• Warm and approachable, with the ability to put people at ease and draw out honest, thoughtful answers in interviews
• Strong product sense: you’re curious about apps, have opinions about what makes them good or bad, and enjoy picking products apart
• A structured thinker who can synthesize messy qualitative input into clear, actionable conclusions
• Comfortable with data, and able to pair qualitative findings with usage metrics
• Comfortable with ambiguity and a fast-moving environment
Nice to Have
• Experience in consumer, social, community, or content products
• A background in consulting, market research, or user research
• Experience anal
