US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role

E-3 NATO AWACS Field Service Representative (Mid-Level and Senior) - Germany Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking Field Service Representatives to provide technical support the Final Lifetime Extension Program (FLEP) for NATO E‑3 AWACS, associated mission/ground systems, and the Facility for Interoperability Testing (MCTR / SIL / SDE) at Geilenkirchen Air Base, Germany .   This is an on‑site, long‑term assignment (up to 3 years) providing hands‑on ISS (In Service Support), field engineering assistance, OJT, troubleshooting, and acceptance/test support for aircraft mission systems and ground systems (MPDS/DMPDS/IFGS/SIL/SDE) Unlike most FSR roles responsible for supporting aircraft maintenance, this position is primarily focused on mission systems software and satellite communication. Supporting general aircraft maintenance and the AWACS radar system hardware beyond mission avionics/software may fall outside the responsibilities of this position. Prior hands-on system administration and SATCOM experience with E-3 NATO FLEP, E-3 AWACS, or other AEWC platforms is needed to be successful in this role. FSRs are the in-person Boeing "face" to the customer, so personal appearance (grooming and dress), a helpful and friendly demeanor, and the ability to speak and write in a professional, unambiguous manner while working unsupervised for extended periods of time are paramount.   Working hours will nominally be 5 days a week (M-F), 8 hours per day. Additionally, FSRs must be willing to work flexible hours (i.e., on-call 24 hours per day, 7 days per week) as the job requires. At the sole discretion of leadership, an FSR must be willing and able (on potentially short notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation.   This is a Long-Term Assignment to Germany for up to 3 years. Relocation/assignment benefits to the international location will be provided. Offers will be contingent upon the candidate’s ability to obtain clearances from International Health Services (as required) and the receipt of a visa/work permit for Germany, if applicable. This also applies to any/all family members who may be relocating with the candidate.   You are applying for a Field Operations position where our employees must be willing and able (potentially short notice) to travel to a variety of locations (domestic and/or international) to meet the needs of our customers.   Field Operations employees may be required to relocate to another Field Operations location based on customer needs and/or management requirements.   Specific contracts supported by Field Operations could require employees to perform a deployment to a US DOD contingency operation. Employees associated with these specific contracts must be able to pass military contractor health standards for deployment.   Position Responsibilities to include (but are not limited to): • Providing technical guidance in the normal operation and maintenance of E-3 NATO FLEP aircraft mission systems, ground systems, and support equipment • Supporting on-aircraft mission system hardware and software troubleshooting/reloads, as requested • Serve as on‑site technical expert and field service lead for NATO FLEP aircraft and ground systems (Operational and Development Systems) • Provide hands‑on installation, configuration, and sustainment for Mission Computing OS/software loads, mission applications, simulation, DLGW/STG, DSU/RAID, OOM, NetApp, and IFGS/MPDS/DMPDS systems • Execute fault isolation, repair, replacement of FRUs, BIOS/CMOS troubleshooting, and chec
