H-1B has no fixed salary bar: the employer must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role and area. Cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level. US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role

About Enode The grid was built for predictable, centralised power. Today it's absorbing intermittent supply from grid scale solar and wind, alongside dynamic demand from EVs, heat pumps, and home batteries. The missing piece is software that can connect and orchestrate these devices at scale. We’re the layer between the home and the grid. Our platform connects every asset, coordinates every home and shapes thousands as one. Asset connectivity gives energy retailers one API for 1,000+ device models across 100+ brands. Home energy coordination turns that connection into smarter behavior at home, like charging an EV in the cheapest hours or using more of your own solar. Residential flexibility brings connected homes together into a dispatchable resource the grid can count on. Europe’s largest energy companies build on Enode : retailers, utilities and the teams that trade for them. The platform spans 1.7M+ connected households and 5,000+ MW of controllable load. We’re backed by Y Combinator, Lowercarbon Capital and Creandum. The decisions made now will shape how the next grid gets built. We’re looking for people who take ownership, think clearly under complexity and care deeply about the craft of building software that matters. AI is fundamental to how we work AI is how a team our size keeps rewiring the way we work, fast enough to match what our mission demands. We look for people who reach for AI as a reflex and who can drop a habit that used to work. People who care about unblocking others, not just about what they ship themselves. If that's not quite how you work yet but it's the direction you're heading, we'd still like to hear from you. We assess this in our interview process, alongside everything else we look at. The role The design team at Enode ships. We’re looking for a Senior Design Engineer who’s as comfortable in a codebase as they are in Figma, and who closes the gap between the two. You’ll build the interfaces energy retailers and their developers use: the Enode Platform, where they integrate and debug; Link UI, the flow their customers go through when they connect a car or a heat pump; and the website that tells our story. You’ll turn designs into production-ready code, prototype ideas before they become designs, and help look after the design system that keeps all of it consistent. The team You’ll report to Daniël, our Head of Design, and join a small, senior design team that works across product and brand. You’ll have real ownership: what you build goes live. How we work Day to day, each designer works mostly with their own team of engineers, often alongside a product manager. Every Monday, the designers get together to sync and share their work. We team up on projects when it makes sense, and jump on a quick huddle whenever someone wants feedback. AI is part of how we work every day. We use it to prototype, explore and build our own tools, so a few people can do a lot. But the craft still matters most, so we care just as much about knowing where it falls short. You’ll help shape how we use it as a team. What you’ll do • Build and ship production UI for the Platform, Link UI and the website, working directly in our codebases. • Contribute heavily to the design system in code, together with our front-end engineers: components, tokens and documentation, kept in sync with Figma, Claude and other tooling. • Prototype in code to test ideas quickly with customers and the team, before anyone commits to a direction. • Raise the quality bar for interaction, motion, accessibility and performance across everything we ship. • Work with engineering on how front-end work gets built, reviewed and released, so design and code don’t drift apart. • Help our engineering teams design APIs and changes to them, so wha
