About the role

Your Mission: As Team Lead Fuselage, Doors & Windows (all genders) in our Structures Team, you will lead the structural design and development of VÆRIDION’s fuselage, door, and windows work packages for our CS-23 all-electric aircraft. Your mission is to guide a small team of engineers in delivering lightweight, manufacturable, certifiable, and production-ready structural solutions. You will be responsible for technical direction, work-package execution, team coordination, cross-functional alignment, and delivery quality within your scope. This role combines hands-on aircraft structures expertise with strong leadership. You will not only execute engineering work yourself, but also enable others, remove blockers, anticipate risks, and represent the Structures function in internal and external discussions.   Your Day-to-Day: • Lead complete fuselage, doors, and windows work packages independently. • Manage, coach, and develop a small team of structures engineers. • Set priorities, assign tasks, track progress, and ensure high-quality delivery. • Own technical coordination for fuselage structures, door surrounds, window cut-outs, reinforcements, fittings, interfaces, and installations. • Drive design maturity from concept through detailed design, prototype build, test support, and production release. • Anticipate and mitigate technical, schedule, manufacturing, supplier, and certification risks. • Represent Structures in cross-functional meetings, design reviews, supplier reviews, and certification discussions. • Align stakeholders across Stress, Systems, Production, Certification, Quality, Procurement, and external partners. • Challenge assumptions, bring practical design improvements, and help the team make sound technical decisions. • Review key engineering outputs, including CAD models, drawings, interface definitions, and design documentation. • Build team capability by improving methods, standards, templates, and ways of working.   Your Profile: • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline. • 10+ years of aerospace structural design experience. • Proven experience leading technical work packages and coordinating engineering teams. • Strong leadership skills: clear communication, prioritization, decision-making, conflict resolution, and team development. • Experience in at least two full aircraft development programs, such as clean-sheet aircraft, major modifications, prototype-to-certification programs, or production ramp-ups. • Strong experience with metallic fuselage structures, aircraft doors, windows, cut-outs, reinforcements, fittings, interfaces, or major airframe assemblies. • Strong understanding of metallic and composite aircraft structures, load paths, manufacturability, inspectability, repairability, and certification constraints. • Deep proficiency in CATIA V5 or 3DX and configuration-controlled design data. • Solid understanding of airworthiness and certification principles related to aircraft structures, ideally including EASA CS-23. • Ability to anticipate risks, create clarity, align stakeholders, and deliver results through others. • Confidence to represent the function internally and externally. We recognize that women and other under-represented groups are often overlooked in our industry. If you’re excited about this role but don’t meet every listed qualification, we still encourage you to apply. Talent and potential can’t always be captured in a checklist.   Why us? • Be part of an ambitious team determined to shape the future of aviation. • We are an in-office company, but we value flexibility and trust employees to manage their schedules responsibly. This may include occasional remote work or adjusting hours to accommodate personal commitment
