US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role
At Lakeshore, everything we make starts with a simple goal: give educators and families the tools to help children thrive. As a Senior Global Sourcing Operations Coordinator, you'll be at the center of the action — keeping the day-to-day moving so our sourcing team can focus on building the products that end up in classrooms and homes across the country. You'll manage a wide range of operational and administrative work, from coordinating projects and handling sample logistics to maintaining documentation and resolving incoming requests. If you're someone who loves bringing order to complexity and takes pride in doing the details right, this role was built for you.
A day on the job looks like this:
• Keep the sourcing team organized and on track by scheduling meetings, preparing materials, capturing action items, and maintaining accurate project documentation and departmental records.
• Own sample operations end to end — processing orders in SAP and third-party systems, coordinating domestic and international FedEx shipments, tracking inventory, and resolving delays so product samples reach the right people on time.
• Support assigned departmental projects by maintaining trackers, following up on deliverables, monitoring progress against timelines, and escalating issues or scope changes to your manager when needed.
• Manage shared inboxes and request channels, investigating and resolving incoming operational questions and routing complex issues to the right stakeholders with full documentation.
• Draft clear, accurate communications — including mass emails, process updates, and department announcements — to keep internal and external partners informed.
• Pull data, build ad hoc reports, and help maintain SOPs and process reference materials so the team always has reliable, up-to-date information to work from.
What you bring:
Required:
• 3–5 years of experience in operations coordination, administrative support, or a similar role
• Associate degree or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with solid Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and comfort working in SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook
• Experience managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and keeping detailed records in a fast-paced environment
• Clear, confident written communication skills — you can tailor a message for different audiences and make complex information easy to understand
• Ability to work onsite full-time at our Carson, CA headquarters.
Preferred:
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Experience with ERP systems such as SAP
• Familiarity with shipping and logistics platforms, including FedEx tools and shipment tracking
• Experience with project tracking tools such as Wrike or similar task management platforms
• Exposure to business intelligence or reporting tools such as Qlik Cloud
What sets you apart:
• You notice when a process could work better and bring a concrete suggestion — not just a complaint — to your manager
• You follow up without being asked, because you know a task isn't done until it's confirmed closed
• You adjust quickly when priorities shift and keep your work quality steady under pressure
• You ask good questions when something is unclear rather than guessing your way through it
