About the role
Who we are
About Stripe
Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies - from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups - use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone's reach while doing the most important work of your career.
About the team
Demo Engineering shows customers how Stripe works instead of just telling them. AI has made demos faster to build, which raises the bar on everything around the build: picking the right story, scoping it to what a customer needs to see, and keeping it current as Stripe ships. We're looking for technically fluent storytellers who know Stripe's products deeply and can turn positioning into demos that land in our most visible customer moments.
What you’ll do
You'll be the bridge between Product Marketing and the demos our field and marketing teams put in front of customers. You'll take product positioning and messaging and turn it into demo-ready narratives, then use AI-assisted tooling to get them built. You'll track product launches so our demos stay current, scope Executive Briefing Center (EBC) demos with Solutions Architects and the EBC team, curate and update our demo library, and act as the primary liaison for event content with Product Marketing.
Responsibilities
• Translate Product Marketing positioning and messaging into demo narratives
• Design multi-product demo stories that sequence cleanly
• Direct demo builds using AI-assisted tools to prototype quickly and build production-quality work
• Track Stripe product launches and keep the demo portfolio current and on-message
• Curate the Demo Hub so the field can find the right demo for the right customer
• Serve as the primary Product Marketing liaison for event demo content
• Scope EBC and strategic customer demos with Solutions Architects and the EBC team
Who you are
We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Minimum requirements
• 3+ years in a technical, customer-facing, or product role such as solutions engineering, sales engineering, technical product marketing, developer relations, or software engineering
• Deep technical product fluency: you can explain how APIs and products fit together and judge what can be demoed reliably
• Strong storytelling and written communication; you can turn a positioning doc into a narrative a customer will remember
• Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g. Claude Code, Codex) to prototype and build software
• Strong judgment and taste about what matters to a customer audience, from developers to executives
• Comfortable owning projects end to end across Product Marketing, Solutions Architects, Product, Design, and Engineering
Preferred qualifications
• Experience as a software engineer, or experience building and integrating with Stripe or other RESTful APIs
• Experience with online and in-person payments, subscriptions, card issuing, or other relevant concepts
• Experience scoping or delivering executive briefings, keynotes, or large event demos
• Experience working closely with Product Marketing on launches
• Subject-matter expertise in a relevant industry, vertical, or product
