US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role
WPP Media is hiring an SEO Manager to run day-to-day technical and on-page SEO for a global consumer brand. People now find brands through Google, Bing and AI answer engines such as Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity, so this role covers both classic SEO and the basics of AI search visibility (GEO and AEO). You will work under minimal supervision, manage projects of all sizes, and partner with client, content and development teams to get recommendations live. We will train the right person on our AI search methods.
Key responsibilities
• Run technical SEO audits covering overall website health and performance and turn findings into prioritized developer tickets.
• Review page templates, site architecture and new launches before they go live, and QA migrations and redesigns.
• Implement and validate structured data markup for products, articles, FAQs and the brand.
• Optimize on-page content so it is clear, factual and easy for search engines and AI assistants to understand and cite.
• Support AI search visibility work, and AI-informed workflows.
• Do topic research to find content opportunities by intent and funnel stage.
• Build and maintain monthly reports and dashboards in Data Studio or Tableau using Google Search Console, GA4 and SEO tool data, including traffic from AI platforms.
• Present findings on client calls, manage timelines and deliverables, and mentor SEO Associates.
Must-have qualifications
• 3 to 5 years of SEO experience, with at least 2 years doing hands-on technical SEO.
• Experience running technical audits and working with developers to get fixes released.
• Solid knowledge of HTML, structured data and how search engines crawl, render and index pages.
• Working knowledge of Google Search Console, GA4 and at least one crawler such as Screaming Frog.
• Interest in AI search and a working understanding of how AI Overviews and LLM-based assistants find and cite sources, as well as leveraging MCP.
• Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills, including pivot tables, lookups and filtering large data sets.
• Clear written and verbal communication, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences and write tickets developers can act on.
Nice to have
• Hands-on GEO or AEO project experience, or use of AI visibility tools such as, Semrush AI Toolkit, ahrefs Brand Radar or Profound.
• Basic Python, SQL or API experience for pulling and automating data.
• Experience with enterprise platforms such as Botify or Lumar.
• FMCG or ecommerce experience, including product feeds or retailer SEO.
• Spanish or Portuguese proficiency, or experience with US Hispanic or LatAm markets.
Tools
Google Search Console, GA4, Bing Webmaster Tools, Screaming Frog, Ahrefs or Semrush, Data Studio or Tableau, Excel or Google Sheets, Jira or a similar ticketing tool.
