We are seeking a Principal R&D Hardware Design Engineer (Power) to join our hardware design organization, working on advanced networking systems where power conversion, power distribution, power integrity, thermal constraints, and system-level trade-offs are business-critical. This role is for engineers who want to lead technically, mentor broadly, and see their power architecture and circuit designs shipped at global scale. HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT As a Principal R&D Hardware Design Engineer (Power), you will act as a technical authority for power architecture, power circuit design, and board-level power distribution, influencing designs well beyond your immediate deliverables. You will: • Define and own power architecture and power distribution strategies for complex, high-performance networking platforms across multiple product generations. • Design and optimize AC-DC and DC-DC power solutions, including voltage regulators, multiphase converters, hot-swap circuits, protection circuits, sequencing, monitoring, and control. • Translate system requirements, load profiles, transient behavior, thermal limits, reliability targets, and cost constraints into robust power designs with appropriate margin. • Drive component selection and design trade-offs across efficiency, density, transient response, noise, thermal perfo
