About the role

We are seeking a Director Oncology Engagements and Above-Brand Strategy . This role will identify, lead and direct a collection of activities associated with external Oncology initiatives, while advancing portfolio initiatives and above-brand stratgies.  This position will be actively working across the Oncology portfolio, including all brands and tumor types ensuring effective and appropriate prioritization, management and delivery of the many initiatives in existence, and partner internally with the US Oncology team and the Global Oncology team in relation to certain opportunities. Responsibilities: • Oversee development and implementation of engagements in Oncology accounts and suppliers with the goal of supporting better patient outcomes that could be stimulated by earlier patient identification, supporting better screening, delivery of care, access and outcomes. • Develop strategy by assessing business needs, selecting and recommending service opportunities to accomplish brand and portfolio goals, managing projects and timelines, and ensuring business delivery and integration of project outputs. • Leads cross-functional alignment to ensure effective portfolio optimization • Effectively partners within the US and Global AZ Oncology business in support of innovative ideas as we work to identify potential external partners • Develops business to business relationships with targeted Oncology internal team members and opportunites with executive level customers as appropriate to support the business • Work collaboratively across the Oncology Care & Access team to support the development of team’s priorities on a quarterly basis. Other Key Responsibilities • Develop and manage budget requirements to support strategic plans and engagements to appropriately support the business • Work closely with leadership to align on requirements in support of initiatives • Support development of strategies aligned with Brand-specific and above-Brand objectives and lead strategic cross-functional workstreams • Help create and communicate issues and project information to internal and potentially external  teams • Incorporate evidence and data-driven materials in deliverables to support AZ strategies and engagements • Help lead projects and manage multiple workstreams across an array of oncology priorities, including leading internal cross-functional and cross-brand teams • Support creation, prioritization and oversee engagement and above-brand strategic  deliverables, including timeline milestone management across multiple simultaneous projects, while also guiding team members  throughout process • Support preparation and help lead engagements with external stakeholders where needed • Help to own budget and guide team through review, comments and recommendations across all workstreams • Provide strategic direction to AZ team members, brand members, cross-functional colleagues, and external stakeholders on issues affecting the AZ oncology business • Works closely with brand, Medical, and Access Strategy to develop internal analysisand generate materials on relevant oncology topics • Manage budgets associated with oncology engagement and above-brand workstreams • Engages Marketing, Access Strategy, Market Access, Oncology Field Teams, Medical Affairs, and Corporate Affairs to determine AZ strategy with oncology priorities Qualifications, Skills and Education Essential: · 5+ years of pharmaceutical and/or other healthcare-related experience • · 3+ years of Oncology experience • · Project management experience • · Contracting experience (payer, GPO, and/or direct institution) • · Prior Oncology experience across various brands and/or tumor types • · Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities, with the ability
