The Opportunity This position works out of our Woodridge, St Paul, MN, location in the Structural Heart Business. Main Purpose of Role   At Abbott, you will lead a team of manufacturing associates in a cleanroom or controlled environment, ensuring the production of high-quality medical devices. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement while applying Lean Manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence.   What You’ll Work On • Supervise day-to-day operations on the manufacturing floor, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity targets are met. • Champion Abbott’s cultural values by promoting a positive, inclusive, and high-performance work environment. • Lead and coach team members in Lean tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Visual Management, and Root Cause Analysis. • Identify and eliminate waste through continuous improvement initiatives and kaizen events. • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and reduce variability. • Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and internal quality standards. • Collaborate cross-functionally with Quality, Engineering, and Supply Chain to resolve issues and support new product introductions. • Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and support employee development and training. • Maintain accurate documentation and support audits and inspections. • In addition to the duties of a grade 14 supervisor, a grade 15 supervisor has demonstrated leadership capabilities in the areas of lean systems and Tier meetings, to the point where they become a training resource for other areas within the building. • Able to teach others how their teams performance ties to the financial outcomes monthly and ability to support the financial planning process. • Ability to identify opportunities within the financial outcomes that are within their control and propose cost improvement projects.
