A Day in the Life Renal Denervation (RDN) is an innovative procedure that helps patients lower blood pressure. The technique targets specific nerves near the kidneys that can become overactive and cause high blood pressure, also known as hypertension. High blood pressure is a global epidemic, affecting one-third to one-half of adults. We are hiring a Senior Market Development Specialist to join our RDN Field Market Development Team. The Field Market Development Team supports the hypertension (HTN) patient journey to ensure the right patients have access to this therapy. The Senior Market Development Specialist is a seasoned professional with a commercial marketing or sales background, and will drive increased focus on high profile regional markets across large IDN's. This is a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that will be responsible for introducing a new therapy that will potentially transform healthcare in the United States. Renal Denervation (RDN) has the potential to be a multibillion-dollar market globally over the next five years. Medtronic is a leader in the RDN field, with FDA approval of the Symplicity Procedure, effective November 17, 2023. While this is a remote position not located at a physical Medtronic site, the candidate hired will be required to reside within the territory and travel to multiple accounts throughout the region. A valid driver's license is essential for this role. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time. The candidate for the Senior Market Development Specialist role is based in Texas. Territories are subject to change based on business and operational need.                     As a Senior Field Market Development Specialist, you will play a key role in shaping and driving local market development and education efforts. You will partner closely with your sales, proceduralists, and non-invasive partners to educate and increase access to care for HTN patients by building awareness, program development, and strategic alignment.
