About the role
This is a sales and customer facing role, no office requirement. AT&T Public Sector is a trusted provider of Mobility Services, network solutions and professional services to State, Local Gov’t, K12 & Higher Education Choose an item.. The Mobility Hunter will focus on accelerating AT&T Public Sector Mobility growth across K-12 and Higher Education accounts, including both public and private institutions. This role is responsible for developing net-new opportunities in No Share and Low Share education accounts, expanding mobility penetration, and partnering closely with assigned Client Sales Executives to identify, qualify, and close solutions that improve connectivity, safety, student access, operational efficiency, and campus mobility outcomes. Job Duties/Responsibilities: • Prospect, develop, and grow No Share and Low Share K-12 and Higher Education accounts across public and private education segments. • Partner with multiple Client Sales Executives to build account plans, uncover mobility opportunities, and align AT&T solutions to customer priorities. • Lead discovery conversations with education customers to identify needs related to wireless connectivity, student and staff devices, campus coverage, fleet and transportation, IoT, public safety, FirstNet eligibility, and mobility features. • Create and manage a disciplined sales funnel, including Salesforce activity, opportunity progression, forecasting, customer follow-up, and closed-won execution. • Position mobility solutions that support education outcomes, including connected devices, hotspots, connected bus, wireless broadband, business wireless plans, device lifecycle solutions, security, IoT, and mission-critical communications where applicable. • Coordinate with product specialists, solution architects, pricing, contracting, implementation, and support teams to deliver complete customer solutions. • Drive measurable share growth by converting competitive accounts, increasing CRU lines and mobility revenue, and expanding AT&T’s strategic role within education accounts. Required Qualifications: • 5+ years of successful sales, business development, or account management experience within the Education industry. • Knowledge of K-12 and Higher Education buying cycles, procurement processes, funding sources, contracts, E-Rate considerations • Telecommunications, technology, public sector, education, or complex B2B solution sales. • Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop, and close new business in underpenetrated or competitive accounts. • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to uncover customer needs, build value-based proposals, negotiate effectively, and advance opportunities through complex buying processes. • Ability to collaborate across multiple account teams, business partners, and internal support organizations while maintaining ownership of mobility opportunity development. • Excellent written, verbal, presentation, pipeline management, and customer relationship skills. Desired Qualifications: • Experience selling mobility, wireless, IoT, FirstNet, connected device, wireless broadband, or education technology solutions. , or public sector compliance requirements. • Established relationships within education, SLED, mobility sales, or public sector technology ecosystems.
