This position will be on-site in Melbourne, FL. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman’s Systems Engineering directorate. As an intern, you’ll participate in a summer internship program to develop competencies in a variety of Systems Engineering specializations that may include: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), Requirements Engineering, Modeling & Simulation Engineering, Human Factors Engineering, Software Configuration Management, Data Management, Cyber Systems Engineering, Systems Architecture, and more. Example Roles and Responsibilities: • Perform system engineering activities for all levels of a total system product, including concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, and maintenance • Works with other system, software, hardware, test, and quality teams to coordinate and integrate the development process and engineering efforts • Learn to systematically integrate, assemble, and verify lower-level system elements into successively higher-level system elements, until the system itself is realized in its entirety Basic Qualifications: A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must: • Be enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university AND graduating after August 2026. • Be majoring in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Systems Engineering, or other related STEM related field • Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during summer 2027 • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite). Preferred Qualifications • Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.25 out of 4.0 or higher • Previous internship/co-op experience, leadership & teamwork capabilities, interpersonal communication skills, and activities (professional/community/extracurricular). • Self-motivated, willing to learn, and interested in working in a team environment . • Experience in developing and delivering presentations and leading small groups. • Experience in working on business or engineering full life-cycle projects from project inception through launch. • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance or higher Intern Pay Range : • Undergraduate (Including graduating students planning on attending/enrolled in a full-time Master’s program for Fall 2027): $18.50 - $33.50/hour • Master’s: $
