About the role
At Affirm, we exist for the moments that matter—giving people a clear, predictable way to pay over time, with no hidden fees, no surprises, and no tradeoffs on what matters most. About the Product Team The Product team listens to our customers’ needs and translates those insights into a clear product vision. The team works closely with design, engineering, and analytics to build scalable financial products that empower people to manage their money with confidence. We rely on empathy, curiosity, and business sense to prioritize features and improve experiences. Our role is to lead with clarity, support cross-functional execution, and champion the user in every decision. About the Role As a Staff Product Manager on Affirm’s Credit & Pricing team, you’ll shape how consumers discover, understand, and use available credit. You’ll own the strategy for credit experiences spanning shopping, repayment, and marketing, turning complex credit capabilities into intuitive products that build trust and drive activation, conversion, and repeat engagement. What You'll Do • Set the product direction. Define a cohesive vision for consumer credit experiences, identify the most valuable problems to solve, and translate your strategy into priorities across multiple teams. • Build experiences that make credit understandable. Help consumers explore potential financing options before checkout, discover where they have purchasing power, and understand when credit becomes available again after repayment. • Create more relevant consumer journeys. Develop personalized experiences for new and returning consumers, using research and experimentation to determine what information, guidance, and next steps best meet their needs. • Connect platform capabilities to consumer outcomes. Own merchant prequalification and purchasing power experiences, partnering with core purchasing power and credit decisioning teams to translate underlying capabilities into clear, consistent experiences. • Lead consequential product decisions. Bring Engineering, Design, Analytics, Credit, Marketing, Commercial, and Legal partners together to resolve tradeoffs across consumer needs, growth, risk, and partner commitments. Influence senior leaders through clear recommendations and sound judgment. • Own measurable results. Define success, lead discovery and experimentation, and use funnel analysis and consumer feedback to improve activation, purchase conversion, repeat engagement, and comprehension while supporting responsible access to credit. What We Look For • A record of building impactful consumer products. 7+ years of product management experience, with demonstrated success taking products from discovery through launch and scaling adoption in fintech, e-commerce, marketplaces, or similarly complex environments. • Leadership across teams. Experience independently setting direction for a substantial product area, influencing senior stakeholders, and aligning multiple teams around priorities and measurable outcomes. • Strong consumer product judgment. An ability to translate complex systems into intuitive experiences, with a high bar for interaction design, clear communication, and consumer trust. • Strategic and technical depth. You connect long-term opportunities to practical product and platform decisions, and work effectively with engineers on capabilities that serve multiple experiences. • Analytical and experimental rigor. You combine customer research, behavioral data, and well-designed experiments to prioritize opportunities, evaluate tradeoffs, and decide what to scale, change, or stop. • Ownership in ambiguity. You bring structure to open-ended problems, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and communicate the rationale, risks, and support needed
