Your mission About SIDES Restaurants are where people come together over good food. We build the technology that keeps them running. SIDES is the operating system for hospitality: POS, payments, delivery, kitchen tools, self-order terminals, apps and webshops on one platform. Thousands of restaurants run on it and millions of transactions flow through it every month, peaking on a Friday night when nothing is allowed to fail. We have the owner's and the chef's back, so they can focus on their food and their guests. And it is not just code on a screen: our software runs on real hardware in real restaurants, from POS devices to self-order terminals and more. Our tech stack: Flutter (mobile & web), Go, PHP, and AWS Your responsibilities • Deliver features end-to-end in a cross-functional team, from ideation and design to implementation, rollout, and operations • Work across the entire stack, from backend to frontend • Use AI tools (e.g., Claude) responsibly and help establish best practices within the team • Ensure operational quality with a strong focus on performance, security, stability, scalability, and observability • Actively contribute to architectural and design decisions • Support and grow the team through mentoring and pair programming • Help define and improve standards for testing, code quality, and CI/CD • Build clean APIs, well-designed data models, and high-performance user experiences Your profile Qualification: • Several years of experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer • Strong experience in backend development with PHP and/or Go, combined with hands-on experience in Flutter • Ability and willingness to work across both backend (PHP/Go) and frontend (Flutter) as part of a unified stack • Pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality • Solid understanding of MySQL, relational data models, and API design • Experience with AWS and containerized deployments; Kubernetes is a plus • Systems thinking across architectural and technological boundaries • Independent, structured working style with strong analytical skills • Fluency in English (required); German is a plus Perks & Benefits Our Benefits: • A recipe for success: With over a decade of experience in the gastronomy and delivery industry, SIDES is known as a true specialist in this field.
