Job Description: Experienced Quality Assurance Engineer Location: Galway Ireland Type: Permanent Full time We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join a collaborative and innovative technology team based in Galway. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software products through robust testing strategies, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives. As an experienced QA professional, you will work closely with software development teams to design, execute, and enhance testing processes across a range of applications and platforms. You will also have the opportunity to lead testing activities, mentor colleagues, and contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement quality assurance processes and testing strategies for software applications, systems software, and firmware. • Analyse product requirements, architecture, and designs to determine appropriate testing approaches, automation frameworks, and integration activities. • Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, scripts, and associated documentation. • Identify, investigate, and resolve software defects and integration issues in partnership with development teams. • Drive test automation initiatives to improve efficiency, coverage, and product quality. • Lead quality assurance activities within projects, ensuring delivery of reliable and cost-effective testing solutions. • Collaborate with internal teams and external development partners to track testing progress, communicate project status, and resolve issues. • Represent the Quality Assurance function throughout all stages of the software development lifecycle. • Support and mentor less experienced team members, sharing best practices and technical expertise. • Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, standards, and methodologies. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring a strong technical background in quality assurance along with excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Essential Qualifications & Experience • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. • Approximately 4-6 years of experience in software quality assurance, software testing, or a similar role. • Hands-on experience with software quality assurance tools, methodologies, and best practices. • Proven experience creating and executing test plans, test cases, automation scripts, and testing frameworks. • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify root causes and drive effective solutions. • Experience testing software and firmware across multiple platforms and environments. • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal com
