A Day in The Life Of: As a Principal Software Engineer , you will provide technical leadership across the software development lifecycle for medical device products. You will lead the design, development, verification, and continuous improvement of software solutions while driving engineering excellence, mentoring software engineers, and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver compliant, high-quality products that support cardiac care technologies. This Principal Software Engineer role will contribute to the design and delivery of software solutions that support critical cardiac care technologies at global scale. Key Responsibilities: • Design, develop, and test software for medical devices in compliance with software development standards,. • Lead project planning activities, including scope definition, effort estimation, technical execution, and delivery commitments for complex software initiatives • Provide technical leadership, coaching, mentoring, and software engineering best practices to junior and senior software engineers • Collaborate with product engineering, software test, systems, and architecture teams to define and deliver technical solutions. • Conduct technical reviews of requirements, specifications, architecture, design documentation, source code, and other engineering deliverables. • Drive process improvement initiatives that enhance software quality, development efficiency, compliance, and team effectiveness • Develop reusable frameworks, design patterns, and engineering approaches that increase team velocity and long-term maintainability • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high quality software products. Required Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree (Level 8) in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline and a minimum of 7 years of relevant software engineering experience; or an advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant software engineering exp
