The Opportunity The Manager Manufacturing Process Engineering role is based out of our Princeton, NJ office. This role is on site daily and will have direct reports. This role is based out of our Point of Care division. Our Point of Care diagnostic portfolio spans key health and therapeutic areas, including infectious disease, cardiometabolic, informatics, and toxicology.   At Abbott Point of Care, the work you do directly impacts patient care around the world. Our rapid diagnostic technologies help clinicians make critical decisions when and where they matter most, from hospitals and physician offices to emergency and remote care settings. What You’ll Work On As a leader within Abbott Point of Care, you'll help drive the development of innovative diagnostic products that enable healthcare providers to make faster, more informed decisions for patients. You'll lead a team of scientists and/or engineers focused on bringing new ideas from concept through commercialization while enhancing existing products and technologies. In this role, you will: • Lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for designing, developing, and testing new point-of-care diagnostic solutions. • Guide product development activities, ensuring designs are reliable, manufacturable, cost-effective, and aligned with customer and business needs. • Partner closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, and senior leadership to deliver projects successfully. • Identify emerging technologies, market trends, and unmet customer needs that can shape future product innovation. • Contribute to business strategies and product roadmaps that support Abbott Point of Care's growth and innovation goals. • Solve complex technical and business challenges while balancing product performance, customer experience, timelines, and costs. • Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within your team. • Stay current on advancements in diagnostics, healthcare technology, and point-of-care testing to help keep Abbott at the forefront of the industry.
