About the role
• Location: Reading • Start date: 1st July 2027 • Duration: 12 months • Work Model: Hybrid – 3 days per week in the Reading office About the job As a Corporate Affairs Industrial Placement student, you will support both the Corporate Government Affairs and Corporate Communications teams across a range of activities, including health policy, stakeholder engagement, media and internal communications. The placement will support the team across two key areas: • Corporate Government Affairs: supporting political and stakeholder engagement, monitoring relevant political and policy developments, and contributing to public affairs activities across specific healthcare and therapy areas. • Corporate Communications: supporting internal events and meetings, helping keep Sanofi’s messaging up to date, and monitoring relevant media developments across healthcare, life sciences and medicines. Main responsibilities: In this role, you will: • Support political and stakeholder engagement activities across Corporate Government Affairs. • Monitor political, policy and healthcare developments and share relevant updates with the wider business. • Contribute to public affairs activities across specific healthcare and therapy areas. • Support internal communications, events and meetings across Corporate Communications. • Help keep Sanofi’s messaging up to date and monitor relevant media developments across healthcare, life sciences and medicines. About you To excel in this role you will need to have: • A genuine interest in healthcare, politics, communications, media relations, public affairs or stakeholder engagement. • Ideally, you will be studying for a degree in Politics, Health, PR & Communications, Media Relations, or a related subject, either as an undergraduate or as part of an integrated Master’s programme and be returning to university to continue your studies after completing the placement. However, other degrees which demonstrate strong writing, communication and people skills (e.g., Psychology, Social Studies) are also relevant. • Fluent English with strong written and verbal communication skills. • An interest in writing and communicating information clearly, demonstrated through your studies, projects or extracurricular activities. • Good organisational skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also showing initiative when working independently.
