A Day in the Life Medtronic’s Soft Tissue Implants (STI) business focuses on implantable solutions used in soft tissue repair and reinforcement, including sutures and hernia repair technologies. The team partners closely with surgeons, operating room staff, hospital administrators, and procurement stakeholders to support procedural adoption, clinical education, and portfolio growth across assigned territories. Success in this business requires strong clinical engagement, effective account management, and the ability to support healthcare professionals during surgical procedures. This position is based in Chennai, India and follows a Remote work style. Regular travel of approximately 30-40% is required to support customer engagements, conduct case coverage, provide clinical training, and manage business activities across the assigned territory. Job Description field The Senior Executive is responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration for the Soft Tissue Implants portfolio within the assigned territory. The role combines commercial execution, customer relationship management, clinical support, and surgical case coverage to expand adoption of sutures and hernia solutions across hospitals and healthcare institutions. Primary Responsibilities • Achieve territory sales and revenue targets for the Soft Tissue Implants portfolio, including sutures and hernia solutions. • Develop and execute territory plans to increase product adoption, account penetration, and market share growth. • Build and maintain relationships with surgeons, nursing staff, hospital administrators, and procurement stakeholders. • Provide surgical case coverage and clinical support during procedures involving Soft Tissue Implants products. • Deliver product training, therapy education, and in-service programmes for new and existing healthcare facilities. • Identify business opportunities within existing accounts and drive expansion of product utilisation. • Support product evaluations, customer onboarding activities, and account implementation plans. • Maintain compliance with company policies, quality requirements, and customer engagement standards. Required Qualifications • High School Diploma (or equivalent) AND 4+ years experience* OR Associate’s Degree AND 2+ years experience* OR Bachelor’s Degree of medical device, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or surgical sales experience. • Experience achieving sales targets and managing customer accounts within a defined territory. • Experience supporting healthcare professionals in hospitals, operating rooms, or procedural environments. • Ability to travel 30-40% within the assigned territory. • Strong customer engagement and territory management skills.
