About the role
Responsibilities • Oncology Commercial Insurance Strategy: Develop and continuously optimize commercial health insurance strategies based on the oncology disease landscape, unmet patient needs, treatment pathways, and the full product lifecycle. Define access priorities for key products, indications, regions, and channels, and support strategy development and forecasting at both the Business Unit (BU) and company levels. • CHI listing strategies: develop product listing strategy for CHI innovative drug list, city supplementary insurance(惠民保), private insurance, and etc. • Innovative Payment Solutions: Develop innovative program proposal aligned with brand strategy priorities • Cross-functional Collaboration and Execution: Work closely with the Oncology Business Unit and cross-functional teams to translate commercial insurance and innovative payment strategies into brand action plans. Oversee the implementation, timelines, budgets, risks, and post-project reviews of key initiatives. • Business Analysis and Decision Support: Monitor commercial insurance access for oncology products and communicate updates to the BU in a timely manner. Track commercial insurance policies, payer developments, the competitive landscape, and oncology market trends to support product forecasts, business cases, and management decision-making. • Global Communication: Share insights into China’s oncology commercial insurance and diversified payment landscape with global and regional teams, support global initiatives, and introduce best practices suited to the Chinese market. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree or above; a background in medicine, pharmacy, public health, insurance, actuarial science, economics, finance, or a related discipline is preferred. An MBA or relevant master’s degree is a plus. • At least five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, commercial health insurance, market access, or consulting. Experience with a commercial insurer or in oncology, as well as a proven track record in commercial insurance access or innovative payment initiatives, is preferred. • Strong strategic thinking, business acumen, data analysis, and business case development capabilities, with the ability to translate insights into executable solutions and measure both business and patient value. • Excellent project management, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and drive collaboration among multiple internal and external parties in a complex environment. • Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese, with the ability to independently prepare management presentations and communicate with global stakeholders.
