About the role

Job Title Sr. Deductions Specialist Job Description Sr. Deductions Specialist Review and resolve high-volume deductions for large customer accounts, identifying discrepancies and coordinating solutions when needed. Build strong relationships with customers and cross-functional partners to support effective account management. Your Role • Manage deductions and short-paid invoices across a portfolio of large, high-volume customers, investigating discrepancies and driving timely resolution. • Coordinate deduction activity related to returns, shortages, trade claims, and compliance issues, ensuring appropriate documentation and ownership. • Partner with customers to identify process gaps and align ways of working to help reduce recurring deductions and improve efficiency. • Collaborate with Logistics, Sales, Cash Application, Customer Collaboration Managers, and other cross-functional teams to resolve disputes and account issues. • Develop strong knowledge of assigned customer accounts, identify recurring trends and root causes, and contribute to continuous improvements in accounts receivable processes. You're the Right Fit If • You have 2+ years of relevant experience, including managing deductions for large “Big Box Retail” customers or comparable experience. • You are highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including VLOOKUP and PivotTables, and are comfortable working with large volumes of account and transaction data. • You have strong analytical and reconciliation skills, with the ability to investigate discrepancies and manage high-volume account activity accurately. • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, with basic accounting knowledge; experience with SAP or Oracle is preferred. • You have advanced written and spoken English and are proactive, self-directed, and comfortable taking ownership of your work.
