About the role
Role Responsible for supporting hardware functional safety design and development for automotive braking systems in accordance with ISO 26262, including safety analysis, requirements and hardware safety concept activities.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport HW functional safety design and development as per ISO 26262.Perform hardware safety analysis and support development of the Technical Safety Concept / Hardware Safety Concept.Develop and maintain FMEA, FMEDA, FTA and DFA analyses.Perform Pin Failure Analysis (PFA) and identify hardware failure modes and safety mechanisms.Develop, review and maintain hardware safety requirements and specifications.Support derivation and allocation of safety requirements from system level to hardware.Analyse single-point, residual and latent faults and support achievement of required hardware safety metrics.Collaborate with System, Hardware, Software, Safety and Validation teams to resolve safety-related issues.Support safety reviews, assessments and ISO 26262 work products throughout the development lifecycle.Key SkillsStrong knowledge of ISO 26262 Functional Safety, particularly hardware development.Hands-on experience with FMEA, FMEDA, FTA, DFA and Pin Failure Analysis.Good understanding of hardware failure modes, diagnostic coverage and safety mechanisms.Experience in hardware safety requirements specification and traceability.Understanding of SPFM, LFM, PMHF and hardware architectural metrics.Good knowledge of automotive ECU hardware and electronics, preferably braking/chassis systems.Experience with functional safety analysis tools is an advantage.Experience & Education7–10 years of relevant experience in automotive hardware / functional safety.Engineering degree in Electronics / Electrical / ECE or related discipline.Experience in braking, chassis, vehicle dynamics or other safety-critical automotive ECUs is preferred.ISO 26262 experience in production/development projects is highly desirable. BE 7 - 10 Years
