This is the person who always knows what the world is saying about our company and industry. This is a rare seat at the center of Salesforce’s biggest narratives.  You’ll do two things well. First, you’ll help shape narrative strategy and turn it into words our CEO actually says and shares: fireside chats, earnings remarks, podcasts, media interviews, all-company meetings, and LinkedIn. Second, you’ll keep a constant read on the outside conversation, so we spot narratives early and respond with intent rather than react late. You’ll join a high-trust team where everyone is close to the work and no two days look alike. You write cleanly and fast in someone else’s voice, have strong news judgment, and stay calm when a deadline moves up or the story changes overnight. A sense of humor and a team-first mindset help. Key Responsibilities • Keep a pulse on the outside narrative. Use transcripts, coverage, and past remarks to keep content accurate and avoid contradicting ourselves. • Flag what matters, fast. Give our team timely, concise reads on emerging narratives, risks, and openings, including a short daily or weekly narrative brief. Recommend whether and how we should engage. • Work cross-functionally. Partner with Product PR, the Office of the CEO, Government Affairs, Investor Relations, and other teams to align on messaging and gather input. • Draft messaging. Draft cue cards, talk tracks, scripts, and fireside chat questions and prep, from first draft to final, on tight and shifting deadlines. • Support media interviews. Partner with Media Relations to prepare our CEO for press, podcast, and broadcast interviews: research the outlet and interviewer, and build key messages and Q&A. Afterward, flag takeaways and follow-ups, help with fact-checking, and capture strong soundbites for the messaging bank. • Helps own our CEO’s LinkedIn presence. Write and publish posts in his voice, run the content calendar, and tie every post to the moments and narrative priorities that matter most. Track performance and use it to sharpen what we post next.
