In this role, you will review infotainment software implementation against released design intent, brand requirements, and customer experience expectations. You will collaborate with Product, Design, Software, Engineering, and Validation partners to identify and resolve defects, usability concerns, and other experience gaps. As an individual contributor on the HID Quality team, you will evaluate experiences across programs, brands, systems, and domains to determine if the implementation aligns with approved design intent and raise defects with our cross-functional partners when it does not. You will assess brand alignment, consistency across in-vehicle displays, and cohesion across end-to-end infotainment experiences, then drive clear, actionable outcomes with cross-functional partners. You will conduct regular software reviews in vehicles and on system benches, coordinate review activities, document findings through Jira or other appropriate systems, and track issues through resolution. You will also participate in design studio reviews, share lessons learned with the broader In-Vehicle Design team, and travel to MPG for in-person software reviews and issue resolution as needed. Success in this role requires strong autonomy, organization, time management, and follow-through to support vehicle launch readiness. If you are passionate about design quality, software implementation, and improving the customer experience within in-vehicle systems and digital products, we would love to hear from you. What You’ll Do • Conduct design-led software reviews of in-vehicle infotainment experiences across all screens and displays, assessing if design intent and specifications have been followed. • Identify, analyze, and document implementation defects, design clarifications, and work-as-designed findings with clear evidence, impact, priority, and recommended next steps. • Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Software, and Validation teams to resolve issues, align implementation with approved design intent, and improve experiences when needed. • Lead or participate in emulator, bench or vehicle software reviews to verify design intent has been implemented and document the instances it has not. • Travel to the Milford Proving Grounds as needed for vehicle reviews or participate in off-campus vehicle rides as the HID representative. • Participate in design studio reviews, sharing lessons learned, enhancement ideas and giving feedback to other designers when needed. • Resolve design related defects and clarifications identified by cross-functional partners in our Figma files. • Work on production files for small feature changes or enhancements. • Report and manage software implementation defects through Jira and other necessary systems, maintaining ownership, prioritization, status, follow-up, validation, and closure. • Support a program’s launch readiness by identifying quality risks early and contributing to repeatable review standards and team processes. Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) • Formal training or a degree in Interface Design, Visual Design, or a related discipline. • Proficiency with industry standard design tools such as Figma and Adobe Creative Suite. • Strong collaboration skills with cross functional teams. • Excellent problem solving, organization, and written and verbal communication skills. • Ability to travel to Milford and work in-vehicle, studio, lab, and software-review environments. • A strong portfolio with work samples demonstrating UX expertise, interaction design, production skills, or d
