About the Team: The Servicing, Business, and International team in Card Tech+ empowers our world-class talent to build technology that powers superior customer experiences and serves the unique needs of our business partners. From innovative servicing platforms to customized products for commercial clients, we leverage the power of data and machine learning to deliver high value solutions. This team builds experience that agents can use to detect, investigate, and shut down card fraud as it happens and also allows customers to report fraud that they have encountered. Operating inside our Empath platform, we tackle high-stakes challenges like account takeovers, transaction fraud, and first-party fraud. Right now, we’re leveling up: transforming from rigid, pre-determined interfaces into a dynamic, configuration-driven intelligent workflow engine. Our team uses Vue.js, Node.js (Fastify), Python, and AWS (Fargate, Lambdas) to build and deliver. What You’ll Do:  • Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company • Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community • Collaborate with digital product managers, and deliver robust cloud-based solutions that drive powerful experiences to help millions of Americans achieve financial empowerment • Utilize programming languages like Java, Scala, Python, Go, Node.js, JavaScript and TypeScript, Open Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of AWS tools and services • Provide technical leadership and direction across Agile teams, setting standards for design, development, and operational excellence • Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks • Proactively identify areas for improvement, implementing targeted refactoring and contributing to efforts that reduce technical debt and enhance system performance • Influence long-term technology strategy through evaluation of emerging tools and practices in a ‘you build it, you own it’ environment Basic Qualifications:  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field (Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering) • At least 4 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply) • At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies Preferred Qualifications: • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field • 7+ years of experience coding with more than two of the following: Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, Scala  • 3+ years of experience with database and database managem
