This role is responsible for executing project-based work from design through deployment, ensuring solutions are implemented efficiently, securely, and in alignment with client expectations. You’ll work closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to support a wide range of infrastructure and cloud initiatives, while also serving as a technical resource for clients throughout the project lifecycle. This includes building and deploying solutions, documenting configurations, supporting end users, and ensuring a seamless transition into ongoing support. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys project-based work, takes ownership of outcomes, and thrives in dynamic MSP environments where no two projects are the same. Remote (U.S) | Exempt | Reports to Manager, Project Engineering What You’ll Do: • Plan and execute Exchange Server to Exchange Online migrations. • Perform Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations for Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams. • Migrate Google Workspace to Microsoft 365. • Configure and operate Quest On Demand Migration, AvePoint Fly or comparable tools. • Migrate file shares to SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Egnyte, Box or similar platforms. • Support Active Directory, Entra ID, DNS, authentication and mail flow dependencies. • Perform discovery, pilot migrations, delta sync, cutovers and post-migration validation. • Troubleshoot migration errors, identity conflicts, permissions and endpoint transition issues. • Document exceptions, outcomes and technical handoffs. What You Bring to the Table: Primary technical expertise — hands-on experience required • Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online administration • Exchange Server and Microsoft 365 tenant migrations • SharePoint Online, OneDrive and Teams migrations • Entra ID, Active Directory integration and permissions • Migration planning, cutovers and troubleshooting • Hands-on experience with Quest On Demand Migration, AvePoint Fly, BitTitan or ShareGate (Quest/AvePoint particularly valued) Adjacent technology knowledge — working familiarity expected • Windows Server, DNS and firewall connectivity • Microsoft Intune and endpoint enrollment • Azure fundamentals and hybrid identity • VMware vSphere, Hyper-V and cloud file platforms Experience and qualifications • 5+ years of relevant IT experience with substantial M365 administration or migration delivery. • Demonstrated production email or data migration projects.
