About the role

JetBrains is a well-known international software development company. Ever since we started, back in 2000, we’ve strived to make the strongest, most effective developer tools on earth. Our products are trusted by more than 15 million users worldwide, and 88 Fortune Global 100 companies are our customers. While we’re best known in the developer community, JetBrains is home to over 2,500 internationally minded professionals working in offices across Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Asia. If you’re passionate about doing meaningful work, making a tangible impact, and embracing a collaborative culture that favors continuous improvement, you’ll find your place here. We’re looking for an experienced Finance Business Partner with a global mindset to join our FP&A team. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, supporting strategic decision-making through insightful analysis, financial planning, and performance management. You will work closely with stakeholders from various departments to ensure that financial insights translate into actionable business outcomes. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, welcome change, and enjoy combining analytical depth with business acumen, we’d love to hear from you. This is a 2-year fixed-term maternity cover position. In this role, you will be responsible for: Business Partnering & Decision Support • Partner with leaders across functional and corporate departments (e.g., Sales, Marketing, HR, G&A) to bring a financial perspective to planning, investments, and operational decisions. • Act as a trusted advisor, challenging assumptions and ensuring decisions are grounded in financial and business impact. • Foster financial awareness across non-financial stakeholders, helping them understand cost drivers, trade-offs, and financial implications of their decisions. Planning & Performance Management • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reforecasting processes for your areas, ensuring assumptions are robust and aligned with company priorities. • Monitor and analyze actual performance vs. plan, identifying key drivers, variances, risks, and opportunities. • Drive cost management and resource allocation discussions to support efficient scaling of functions. Analysis & Reporting • Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial and operational data, including both financial and headcount-related metrics. • Investigate monthly variances at both company and department levels, ensuring transparency and clear explanations of performance. • Deliver clear, structured, and insightful reporting and presentations for senior management. • Handle ad hoc analyses and provide data-driven insights to support decision-making. Data Ownership & Financial Integrity • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of financial data, including alignment between planning, reporting, and actuals. • Coordinate and validate inputs such as cost distributions, and headcount planning. • Collaborate closely with Accounting, Controlling, and Data teams to maintain high-quality management reporting. Tools, Processes & Continuous Improvement • Own and improve financial models, forecasting methodologies, and reporting tools. • Contribute to the development and automation of dashboards and reports (e.g., in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools). • Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and transparency in FP&A processes. You’ll be successful in this role if you have: • Proven experience as a Finance Business Partner, Financial Analyst, or similar FP&A role in a multinational or fast-growing company; • Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and performance management processes; • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data
