Details and sources
No salary bar for this route
H-1B has no fixed salary bar: the employer must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role and area. Cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level. US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role

Orcrist is building a next generation data intelligence platform using cutting-edge technologies. We're handling petabyte-scale data with sub-second queries. Our product is a Kubernetes‑based platform delivered as B2B SaaS or as a self‑hosted on‑prem solution, including air‑gapped deployments. We enable customers across defense, law enforcement, and enterprise to turn mission-critical data into actionable intelligence. Role We are looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist who combines a strong interest in technology with a structured and hands-on approach to recruiting. You will focus on hiring technical talent, but the scope doesn't end there. You will own key parts of the recruiting process, work closely with hiring managers, and help us get the most out of our tools and systems. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with technology and processes just as much as working with people. You are curious about new tools and care about doing things properly. You don't just want to get tasks done — you want to get them done well. This is a hands-on role with room to take ownership, improve how we work, and grow with the team. What you'll do • Drive recruiting: Manage recruitment processes for technical roles, from application review to interviews, feedback, and offers. • Collaborate with hiring managers: Understand role requirements, build clear candidate profiles, and help teams make structured and timely hiring decisions. • Work with our recruiting system: Work with Greenhouse to maintain clean candidate data, manage pipelines, improve workflows, and ensure the system is used effectively. • Improve processes: Identify inefficiencies in our recruiting workflows and find practical ways to make them simpler, faster, and more reliable. • Use technology and AI: Explore how AI and automation tools can support your daily work, reduce manual tasks, and improve the quality of our processes. • Keep things organized: Coordinate interviews, manage follow-ups, document decisions, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks. • Maintain high data quality: Keep candidate records, interview feedback, and process statuses accurate and up to date. • Create a great candidate experience: Communicate clearly and reliably with candidates throughout the process. • Track recruiting performance: Help monitor recruiting metrics and use data to identify opportunities for improvement. • Support our growth: Help us build recruiting processes that remain effective as our company and hiring needs grow. About You • You have around 1 –4 years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruiting, ideally with exposure to technical hiring. • You work in a highly structured, reliable, and detail-oriented way. You care about accuracy and take pride in delivering high-quality work. • You are comfortable working with recruitment software/data and understand why clean records, consistent processes, and accurate reporting matter. • You take ownership of your tasks, you operate independently and you enjoy improving processes instead of simply following existing routines. • You communicate clearly and work well with different people, including technical teams. • You can organize your work independently and multiple hiring processes simultaneously without losing track of the details. • You speak German and English at C1 level or above. • Autorisation to work in Germany. Nice‑to‑haves • Experience recruiting for software engineering, IT, data, security, or other technical roles. • Hands-on experience with Greenhouse. • Practical experience using AI tools to improve everyday work. • An interest in recruiting analytics, process design, or HR technology. • Experience working remotely or in distributed teams. What we offer • Remote-first, Germ
