About the role

We're a group of friends building apps for friends, and we think friendship deserves a better place online. Our brand is how the world first meets that idea, usually in a three-second scroll, in a language that isn't ours, on a phone in a city we've never been to. We're looking for a Brand Lead who writes like a dream and ships like a machine. Someone who's run global campaigns at a top agency, knows what a great brief feels like, and is ready to trade the client side of the table for owning the whole thing. You'll shape how amo sounds, looks and shows up everywhere, from a two-word push notification to a launch film watched in fifteen countries. What you'll do: • Own the amo voice. Write it, guard it, and make it better every week. App copy, launch posts, store listings, social, scripts, the little lines that make people smile. • Run global campaigns end to end. From the first idea on a napkin to the last cut in market, across Europe, the US and beyond. • Brief and push creative partners. Agencies, directors, creators and our in-house design team. You know how to get their best work because you've been on their side of the table. • Make the brand local without making it boring. Adapt ideas so they land in Paris, London, LA and Seoul, not just translate them. • Measure what the brand is really doing. Set up and run brand tracking across our markets, following awareness, consideration and perception over time, and turn what you learn into the next brief. • Work in days, not weeks. Spot a moment on Tuesday, have a campaign live on Thursday, learn from it on Friday. • Sweat the details. Easter eggs, onboarding screens, the name of a feature. Small words do big work here. What that may look like: Kicking off a campaign with an agency for our next market launch, and setting up the tracker that tells us a month later whether people there know who we are and like what they see. Who you are: • A writer first. You can make a headline sing and kill your darlings without blinking. Your portfolio proves it. • Agency-trained. You've spent real time at a creative agency and worked on brands people actually know. You've sat in the pitch, survived the feedback round and shipped anyway. • Global from day one. You've led or played a key role in campaigns that ran across several markets at once, and you know what changes (and what never should) from one country to the next. • Fast and opinionated. Conviction over consensus. You'd rather put out something great today than something perfect next month. • Fluent in internet. You know what's trending before it trends, and you can tell the difference between a moment worth joining and one worth skipping. • Bilingual or better is a plus. English is our working language. French, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean or Japanese would make us very happy. Bonus points if: You've worked on a consumer app, built a brand from scratch, or have a group chat that's funnier than most ad campaigns. Why amo: • You'll own it. No account director, no client sign-off chain. Your ideas go from your head to millions of phones. • You'll move fast. We make decisions quickly and learn from mistakes even quicker. Intense, but healthy. • You'll be in good company. Over half the team is international, with 25 nationalities and counting. One in four of us moved cities or countries to be here. • You'll grow x10. Colleagues across product, design, engineering and growth will challenge your work every day, and you'll do the same to theirs. • You'll have backing. We're supported by some of the best tier-1 investors in the world and growing at a pace our space hasn't seen in years. Life at amo: To ensure that everyone is set up for success within our way of working, we work together onsite 5 days a week. We wanted
