- H-1B has no fixed salary bar: the employer must pay at least the prevailing wage for the role and area. Cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level. US H-1B: cap-subject employers enter a lottery weighted by wage level — Level I gets 1 entry, Level IV gets 4 (DHS projected selection odds ≈15% at Level I to ≈61% at Level IV). Universities and non-profit research employers are cap-exempt. The $100,000 fee for new petitions from abroad is currently blocked by a court order (appeal pending).

About the role
BUILD A SAFER WORLD.
TRM Labs provides AI-powered intelligence solutions that help public and private sector agencies investigate and disrupt crime. TRM's platforms enable investigators to trace illicit activity, build cases, and construct operating pictures of threat networks. Leading agencies and businesses worldwide rely on TRM to make the world safer and more secure.
As a Solutions Architect on TRM's Onchain Compliance team, you are the technical owner of the sales cycle for crypto exchanges, banks, fintechs, and payments companies. You partner with Account Directors from the first discovery call through close, then stay close as customers integrate and go live. You turn a compliance team's requirements into an architecture they trust and a pilot that proves it.
The impact you will have:
- Own the technical win on strategic onchain compliance deals, using TRM's platform and AI-assisted workflows to turn each customer's compliance process into an architecture they trust. This directly determines whether TRM lands and keeps tier 1 accounts.
- Compress time to value by building tailored, AI-assisted demos within days of discovery, showing compliance teams how TRM plus AI cuts manual alert review.
- Design and prove API integrations that fit real compliance operations, including alert triage, case management, and escalation, and use AI tooling to prototype them quickly.
- Build reusable, AI-enabled demo and integration assets so every deal moves faster than the last and the team scales without adding manual work.
- Feed field insight back to Product and Engineering, shaping the roadmap so TRM stays ahead of what compliance teams need next.
What we’re looking for:
- 5+ years in pre- and post-sales technical roles (Solutions Architect, Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or Customer Success Engineer), increasingly using AI tools in your workflow.
- Hands-on experience scoping, implementing, and supporting API-based SaaS integrations, including using AI to prototype and test them faster.
- Comfort with REST APIs and scripting in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript, and with AI coding assistants to build quick prototypes.
- Familiarity with AML, KYC, sanctions screening, or transaction monitoring, and interest in applying AI to speed compliance review.
- Daily use of AI tools with the judgment to know when to trust the output and when to verify it.
- Strong discovery, prioritization across several opportunities at once, and clear communication with both engineers and senior compliance leaders.
- Bonus: blockchain fundamentals, crypto compliance regulation, or experience building AI-enabled workflows. If you are excited by the mission but do not check every box, we encourage you to apply.
About the Team:
- Solutions Architecture at TRM is a globally distributed, fully remote team that works asynchronously through Slack and detailed documentation.
- The team is on the front lines of TRM: trusted technical advisors to customers and a primary source of customer insight for Product and Engineering.
- The work is intellectually demanding. You translate complex compliance and blockchain problems into clear solutions under real deal pressure.
- Expect high ownership and pace. You run your opportunities end to end and are trusted to make the technical call.
Team Operating Rhythms:
- Primary overlap 8:00am to 5:00pm ET for customer syncs and team collaboration.
- Weekly customer syncs, bi-weekly health syncs, and account POD calls, with regular direct customer engagement.
- Async-first communication through Slack and written documentation. Distributed, not distant.
- Travel 20 to 30 percent for customer meetings and onsite sessions.
