About the role
Job Details: Job Description: As an Electro-Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for developing innovative electromechanical devices, components, and systems tailored for high-volume manufacturing. You will transform design concepts into functional prototypes, create detailed manufacturing drawing packages, and conduct system simulations to ensure feasibility and reliability. Your work will play a critical role in driving design excellence and ensuring product functionality, reliability, and performance. You will be joining Intel Corporation's Product Design Enabling organization, a team dedicated to advancing design methodologies and delivering innovative solutions for world-class products. The group focuses on developing and optimizing electromechanical designs, leveraging cutting-edge technologies to support Intel's broader goal of creating industry-leading devices and systems. Together, we strive to empower innovation and enable next-generation products with precision and efficiency. The primary responsibilities for this role will include, but are not limited to: • Design and develop PCB test boards and associated electromechanical devices, systems, components, packaging, and prototypes tailored for Advanced Packaging Technology development. • Create product and test specifications based on technical requirements and conduct design reviews to ensure alignment and quality. • Develop and implement manufacturing drawing packages for PCB and mechanical assemblies using CAD tools. • Conduct feasibility studies and create system simulations to validate new and existing designs for functionality, reliability, and safety. • Select appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing technologies to optimize electromechanical designs. • Execute comprehensive test plans to validate electronic and mechanical interactions, including thermal cycling, dynamic analysis, and functional reliability testing. • Apply advanced computer-aided design engineering methods to resolve technical challenges in design and implementation processes. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including thermal, mechanical, and system engineers, to optimize design parameters and achieve performance objectives. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications : Minimum qualifications are required to be initially considered for this position. • Associate degree in a related technical field with 8-10 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical design. • Advanced experience in CAD tools for designing PCB and mechanical assemblies. • Experience with manufacturing processes, materials selection, and high-volume production environments. • Expertise in developing and executing test plans for functionality validation and reliability assessment. Preferred Qualifications: Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field with 3-6 years of hands-on experience in electromechanical design. • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams. • Demonstrated project management abilities, including configuration management and change control. • Familiarity with dynamic analysis, thermal cycling, and system simulations. • Experience conducting design previews and resolving implementation issues with cross-functional partners.
