A Day in the Life The Cardiac Ablation Solutions (CAS) business develops technologies that support the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac arrhythmias, including advanced electrophysiology mapping and ablation systems. The Service & Repair function, part of the Customer Care & Supply Chain organization, provides technical support, installation, maintenance, and lifecycle management services to ensure customers can effectively utilize these technologies in clinical practice. This is a remote, field-based position supporting customers across the United Kingdom and Ireland, with additional support provided across Western Europe and other EMEA markets as required. The role requires extensive travel, with the majority of working time spent at customer sites. Candidates should ideally be located in Reading or Oxford or the surrounding Areas. Attendance at Medtronic facilities may be required periodically for meetings and training activities. Full measles immunization is required to meet healthcare facility access requirements. As a Senior Technical Service Specialist, you will serve as the primary technical contact for customers utilizing the Affera mapping and ablation platform. You will lead technical service activities including installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer support, while partnering closely with Sales, Clinical, Quality, Production, Engineering, and Field Service teams to ensure successful product implementation and ongoing customer satisfaction. Primary Responsibilities ·       Perform site assessments, installations, inspections, verification activities, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance for Affera systems. ·       Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to maximize system performance and customer uptime. ·       Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, providing expert support throughout the product lifecycle. ·       Maintain accurate technical documentation and service records in accordance with regulatory and quality requirements. ·       Collaborate with Clinical, Sales, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Field Service teams to support customer needs and product performance. ·       Contribute to the development, maintenance, and continuous improvement of service processes, procedures, and technical documentation. ·       Develop and deliver technical training programs for distributors, service partners, clinical teams, and customer representatives. ·       Support new product introductions by participating in design transfer, commercial launch readiness, and field feedback activities. Required Qualifications ·       Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline with field service experience in medical devices, aerospace, or another highly regulated industries. ·       Experience servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex electronic or electro-mechanical equipment. ·       Experience performing installations, preventive maintenance, and corrective maintenance activities in customer-facing environments. ·       Fluent English language skills, written and verbal. ·       Ability to travel extensively throughout the United Kingdom, Ireland, and wider EMEA region.
