A Day in the Life The Service & Repair function is part of the Customer Care & Supply Chain organization and supports customers across a broad portfolio of Medtronic technologies, including Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM), Cranial & Spinal Technologies (CST), and Surgical Innovations (SI). The team delivers technical service, preventive maintenance, equipment repair, and customer support activities that help ensure healthcare providers can operate critical medical technologies safely and effectively. This field-based role supports customers across Manchester and the surrounding region. The position requires regular travel within the assigned territory, with approximately 50-70% travel, and is focused on delivering technical service excellence while supporting service contract growth and customer retention. As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide technical support, maintenance, and repair services for a diverse portfolio of medical technologies. You will partner with hospitals and healthcare providers to maximize equipment uptime, deliver a high-quality customer experience, and identify opportunities to expand service agreements and support long-term customer relationships. Primary Responsibilities ·       Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair activities for medical equipment within the assigned territory. ·       Execute scheduled preventive maintenance visits to ensure equipment performance and compliance with service requirements. ·       Build and maintain relationships with Clinical Engineering, Electro-Bio Medical Engineering (EBME), and other key customer stakeholders. ·       Achieve service performance objectives, including customer satisfaction and operational service metrics. ·       Identify and support opportunities for service contract sales, renewals, and service revenue growth. ·       Maintain accurate service documentation, maintenance records, and regulatory compliance requirements. ·       Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and improve customer service delivery. ·       Ensure adherence to operational procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements. Required Qualifications ·       Bachelor's degree, Higher National Certificate (HNC), or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline. ·       Experience from field service, technical support, or equipment maintenance experience within the medical device, healthcare, or life sciences industry. ·       Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic or electro-mechanical systems. ·       Valid driver's license and ability to travel 50-75% within the assigned territory. ·       Experience using computerized maintenance management systems or service documentation tools. Preferred Qualifications ·       Experience servicing medical devices or healthcare technologies within a hospital environment. ·       Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs and field service best practices. ·       Experience supporting service contract renewals or identifying commercial service opportunities. ·       Experience delivering technical or operational training to customers. ·       Knowledge of Clinical Engineering or Electro-Bi
